Why
is the Starlight Wellbeing Expo so special?
•
It offers you exposure to a well educated and interested audience in the
heart of an area renowned internationally for alternative healing.
•
The festival takes place during peak tourist visitation.
•
Visitors comprise approximately 50% tourists, 50% locals
•
It is an established event, with a great reputation, January 2008 will be
our 23rd festival. It is a smooth running, happy and relaxed festival.
•
In January 2007 we had over 1500 visitors with over 1200 interested, paying
visitors during our Easter festival.
•
Stand space is affordable.
•
Limited exhibition space guarantees a great selection of practitioners.
•
The festival is promoted widely, with advertising on both local TV channels,
local commercial and community radio, local newspaper ads, features and
editorial, radio and TV news, fliers, banners at the entrance to Byron Bay
and Bangalow and lots of legwork to ensure EVERYONE knows the festival happening.
•
We have lots of experience in professional event management.
•
Traditionally the emphasis has been on practitioners rather than products,
recently we have introduced selected products to the expo.
•
We offer wholesome gourmet vegetarian food and organic coffee, no junk food
or drink are sold at Starlight Wellbeing Expos.
•
It creates a great opportunity to meet new clients or potential students
and promote your centre or special service.
•
We have a well attended hourly talks and workshop programme, with workshops
in January 2007 averaging over 100 participants per workshop.
•
It is a uniquely Byron festival with the emphasis on relaxation, healing,
enlightenment and personal empowerment.
Attractions
in 2008 include
•
A special national or international guest speaker each day offering a workshop
as part of the general admission fee.

Stand
holder information...
The
venue
is a heritage listed building with pressed tin walls and ceiling and recently
polished wooden floors.
Display
materials may ONLY be hung from the picture rails and not attached directly
to the walls by any means.
Stands
are divided by lightweight 1.5m high fabric divider that is 1.8m long. Material
may be pinned to this divider if required.
No
naked flames in this venue.
Demand
for space always exceeds supply so if you want to choose your stand position
book now. January's Expo is often fully
booked by October and at Easter usually books out a month prior to the event.
Local
and regular stall holders are advised to book their spaces now.
Practitioners
may propose a one hour talk with a short two or three word title and a paragraph
on the content of their talk, which will relate to their area of expertise.
All talks
will be chosen on their merits with priority given to stand holders. New
topics are of most interest. The increased size of the workshops programme
has reduced the number of talks available for practitioners.
Stand
sizes are approximately 2.6m x 2m for therapists 2m x 2m for readers.
A few larger 3 metre square spaces are available at an extra cost.
Stand
fees start at $400 for four days for a 2x2m stand, $440 for 2.6x2m
with a few larger stands at $500 and $600 depending on size and position,
a very cost effective way of meeting new clients. There
are a limited number of multi level marketing stalls at Starlight Wellbeing
Expos.
